Work on a new
commercial property development in Leeds has begun after Wilton Developments secured planning permission for the site.
It is starting redevelopment at 10 South Parade, making it the city's only speculative office scheme and the first to come to market in 2010.
The building will measure 36,000 sq ft after undergoing "extensive" changes, managing director for Wilton Jason Stowe explained, adding that "a number of interested potential tenants" are already considering moving into the
business property.
Mr Stowe said that the decision to go ahead with the work highlights the company's "confidence and commitment" to Leeds City Centre.
Basement parking, secure cycle storage and male and female changing rooms will all be included at the site, with work expected to be completed by the autumn.
Last month, Wilton announced the sale of one its its warehouses at the Europort site in Wakefield, after receiving an offer from a private property investment company.
