US clothing retailer Banana Republic has signed up to open a store and Land Securities' One New Change
commercial property development in the City of London.
The chain will move into a 7,800-sq ft store this autumn after signing a ten-year lease at the building, which is located opposite St Paul's Cathedral.
Marks and Spencer, Reiss, Hobbs, H&M and Topshop have already agreed to open outlets in the
business property, which also features office space, one-third of which has been pre-let to K&L Gates.
Retail manager for Land Securities London Portfolio David Atcherley Symes said that lettings at the building - which is designed by renowned architect Jean Nouvel - "have really picked up speed" over the past three months.
He added that a roof garden and "never-before-seen views of St Paul's Cathedral" will make the development attractive to visitors.
The company currently owns 24 shopping centres, along with 20 retail parks.
