- How do I update my properties using RSS?
-
UKBP will not add to or change in anyway the description that you upload, if you use the automatic RSS feed the content of the site will mirror exactly what you have on your own site.
-
Yes, agents who become Members will be eligible to receive a customised version of the UKBP search, (which will show only their properties) back to place on their site. This means that if your website does not presently provide a search facility, or if you pay a 3rd party to provide it, simply by listing all your properties on UKBP you can receive this valuable facility free of charge. If you register as an Agency with us you can see a specimen website which explains this. Once approved you get a piece of HTML code in your Management area which can be pasted into your web page. Visitors to your site will be able to search all of your properties by type, in a UKBP search frame which will sit in your page. It will also provide automatic pdf downloads of full property details, email advice of leads, Google Mapping to show the location of each property and more.
-
Getting traffic to your website depends on being exposed to the major search engines and to clients searching by other means. Linking to UKBP will give your site exposure. You will also receive traffic from UKBP, and by placing the UKBP link on your site you will send traffic to UKBP. Traffic you send will be those who didn't find what they want on your site, whereas traffic you receive may be people who will want one of your properties.
-
The majority of UKBP traffic will come from the major search engines, and Google in particular.
-
Getting placed in the Google rankings is something which advertisers pay for. UKBP will start it's campaign on January 1st 2007. That's why we are offering incentives to agents to become Founder Members, so that the site will have relevant content by the launch date.

We understand that there may be circumstances in which you may not wish to disclose the precise details of where a property is located. In this situation enter bogus digits for the last 2 numbers of the postcode E.G. LE2 1XX. This will allow the upload of the property without revealing its exact location.
