Fitness4less is looking to carry out
commercial property acquisition as part of a nationwide expansion plan.
The health and fitness chain, which opened its first gym in Bristol in 2007, is looking at sites in Birmingham, Brighton and Cardiff, Property Week reports.
It has appointed Christie & Co to oversee the process as it looks to add to the
commercial property already in its portfolio.
A Cambridge Heath, London and another Birmingham site are all due to open in the first quarter of the year and the news source noted that the firm is seeking
commercial property with at least 15,000 sq ft of space and nearby parking.
The company provides subsidised parking to members of its Bristol gym through a deal with Nation Car Parks.
Marketing director at Fitness4Less Emma Edwards was quoted by the news source as saying that there is potential to increase the number of members that visit during off-peak times.
"We feel able to compete with existing health clubs and other low-cost gyms," she remarked.
