Business services specialist Jones Lang LaSalle has acquired healthcare real estate agency GLP Taylors.
It has made the move so as to expand into the healthcare
business property sector and, as a result, its healthcare team now consists of 12 experts, focusing on issues such as consultancy, building surveying, sales and acquisitions and planning.
Commercial property in the health industry - including care and nursing homes, hospitals, surgeries and pharmacies - will be offered by the company and head of the healthcare team at Jones Lang LaSalle Philip Hall said that the acquisition has enabled the firm to "strengthen [its] client service".
"It also extends our healthcare capability into our regional office network," he explained, with the company's offices in London, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Birmingham running the agency that has been established as a result of the deal.
Last week, the firm appointed Nick McConnell, a specialist in corporate advice - to its Out of Town Retail Investment team.
