Plans have been unveiled for a new £30 million
business property park in the east of Edinburgh.
The site, which will be known as Lothian Park, would consist of three office buildings and a 120-room hotel.
It will be developed by Lothian Park Ltd - a consortium of individual investors - and is to be located on 12.4 acres of real estate at the eastern end of the city bypass.
Head of the consortium Mike Rutterford said there is a "major gap in the provision of premier business and leisure space at the eastern gateway to the city of Edinburgh".
He added the construction of a new Queen Margaret University campus nearby has highlighted the "excellent accessibility" of the location.
Deloitte's Jim Baird said this week that his firm's takeover of Drivers Jonas will help the
commercial property sector in Scotland recover from the recession.
He told The Herald the merger will hep get the market moving again.
