Henderson Global Investors has made changes to the portfolio of
commercial property owned by its Retail Warehouse Fund.
According to Property Week, the firm has sold a site in Leeds and purchased another in Waterlooville as part of the capital reinvestment strategy drawn up by Michael Neale, fund manager at the firm.
It has sold Junction 27 in Leeds - a bulky goods retail park - to Ignis Asset Management for £56.5 million and bought Wellington retail park in Waterlooville - a non-food planning consented site - for £60 million from Gallagher Developments.
Morgan Williams advised Henderson on both the deals, while DTZ assisted Ignis Asset Management and Montagu Evans and Cushman & Wakefield helped Gallagher Developments.
Commercial property makes up just over 16% of Henderson's total investment portfolio - the equivalent of £9.4 billion.
The majority of its assets are held in the UK, but it also has a presence in North America, Asia and Australasia, Europe and the Middle East.
