The first half of 2010 will see a rise in the success of the UK retail investment market, it has been suggested.
CB Richard Ellis (RE) said there are opportunities in the
commercial property market, with London in particular proving attractive for the retail sector.
Indeed, the retail sector is leading the way when it comes to
business property.
Executive director of retail investment at the CBRE Stewart Colderick said: "We are witnessing unprecedented levels of investor demand and a market that creates a huge opportunity for the informed investor."
Furthermore, demand in central London highlights "the significance of London retail as an investment subclass in its own right", the CBRE report said.
Investors will also be diverse and will include private investors, overseas buyers and UK institutions.
A previous CBRE report showed tenant demand remained high in central London in February.
Take-up was over the one million sq ft mark for the third successive month.
