A pensions fund in Chorley has invested £4 million in
commercial property in the region, it has been reported.
The unnamed group paid the sum to take over the warehouses used by retailers Carpetright and Curry's at the Alliance Retail Park in Chorley town centre, the Lancashire Evening Post said.
After receiving advice from
business property experts CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) North West, the organisation decided to go ahead with the acquisition of the 20,000-sq ft premises.
Rob Woods, director of CBRE, told the newspaper: "This opportunity was acquired off-market and provides a modern development let on long leases at a retail park [that is] very well located and [an] established out-of-town retail destination that continues to improve."
CBRE currently boasts 133 offices in 41 countries across the globe, manages more than $12.7 billion (£8.7 billion) of commercial property and provides valuation and advisory services for over 54,200 assets worldwide.
