A
commercial property that was once a bar and restaurant may be transformed into a supermarket, if proposals by Tesco go ahead.
Situated in Langside, Scotland, the site could become a Tesco Express store in the future, according to the Evening Times.
Tony McElroy, Tesco corporate affairs manager, confirmed: "We are in discussions with the landlord regards a new unit at Millbrae Road."
And the
business property would be sited underneath a housing development containing flats, which was constructed after a former restaurant burned down on the site, the publication revealed.
The retail giant was recently reported to be opening another store at Thurso, Scotland, creating a number of jobs, the Caithness Courier noted.
Those working in an existing smaller store were also expected to relocate to the new commercial property.
Corporate affairs manager Douglas Wilson said similar stock would appear on shelves but there will be more of it.
