A
business property will include offices ten storeys high and hopes to regenerate the area.
Supermarket giant Tesco and budget hotel company Travelodge are expected to agree on plans for the site in Edinburgh's Haymarket, the Scotsman reports.
Tiger Development - which has projects in the UK and Europe - will launch proposals for the site.
And it is hoped the
commercial property venture will create thousands of jobs.
"Tiger are hopeful that the development of the site will act as a catalyst to regenerate the
commercial heart of the area," a spokesperson for the firm was quoted as saying.
Providing planning consent is agreed, a ten-storey office will be created, as well as further space in the area.
The business property should prove popular, according to Stewart Taylor, director at CB Richard Ellis.
He said the height would be almost twice that of Edinburgh's existing offices, which is likely to attract more interest.
