Commercial property owners looking to increase their environmental credentials may consider renewable energy usage.
One way this could be done is through the use of wind turbines, explains Mick Kelly, spokesperson for SIAC Wind Energy UK.
He says
business property owners should find this is a sound investment, as well as offering eco benefits.
"We're targeting small businesses, farmers and domestic consumers. The new feed-in tariffs are available to anyone with a suitable site," Mr Kelly explains.
On Monday (June 14th) SIAC - a member of RenewableUK - installed a wind turbine measuring 13.5 metres tall in London's Leicester Square to mark the start of wind week.
Mr Kelly states the organisation aims to raise awareness of wind energy throughout the week, alongside dispelling certain myths surrounding the technology.
Statistics from the European Wind Energy Association show wind turbines represent 39 per cent of all energy generating plants installed last year across the continent.
