Firms looking for a
business property could consider Leeds as an appropriate area, as it has many
commercial advantages.
According to Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, the city has a many positive aspects.
"The appeal of Leeds is due in part to the wide range of venues that the city can offer its business guests," he continued.
Commercial property owners may be impressed by the "state-of-the-art" facilities in hotels and other buildings around Leeds, Mr Verity added.
His comments follow statistics from the Office for National Statistics, which found a nine per cent drop in business visits to the UK in the three months to April 2010.
Mr Verity notes Leeds is the fifth most-popular destination for corporate meetings in the country.
This is ahead of areas including Nottingham, Glasgow and Newcastle and could be due to the appeal of facilities at sites such as the town hall and university, he commented.
