Royal Mail has revealed it will occupy a
business property in Liverpool, which it will use to sort and distribute goods.
The
commercial property at Brunswick Business Park is owned by
Commercial Estates Group and was recently refurbished, the Liverpool Daily Post reported.
Royal Mail will take on 22,800 sq ft of the former Victorian dock warehouse, which was restored in the 1980s.
South Harrington Building in the business park includes a combination of industrial and office space.
According to Nick Harrop, partner at joint agents Hitchcock Wright and Partners: "Since the refurbishment and re-launch of South Harrington Building, demand for units has been extremely strong.
Commercial Estates Group has refurbished the building to an extremely high standard."
The publication noted Royal Mail had been undergoing an "extensive search" for an appropriate commercial property prior to finding the Liverpool site.
Some 87,000 businesses are served by Royal Mail, which collects post from the firms each working day.
