A number of
commercial properties run by Debenhams may open this year, the company has announced in its interim management statement.
It has already opened a selection of business properties earlier this year, with a store being launched in Camarthen in the second half of the financial year 2009-10.
This brings the company's total number of department stores to 146, it noted.
In July, a further retail outlet will be launched in Bury, Greater Manchester, with two international franchise shops due to open before the end of the year.
Chief executive Rob Templeman said he was pleased with the way the organisation has performed so far this year.
"Looking forward across the balance of the year, we remain cautious about the strength of the overall retail market and the level of consumer confidence," he added.
Debenhams employs around 24,000 people and its commercial properties occupy approximately 10.9 million sq ft in trading space.
