A number of business properties could be created in Scotland, as a £50 million regeneration scheme gets underway.
The Jessica fund is a joint initiative from the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Scottish ministers, with finances coming from the European Commission and the Scottish government.
Commercial properties will offer new business spaces in towns across the country, with transport, social housing and derelict areas also benefiting from the scheme.
Simon Brooks, EIB vice-president responsible for the United Kingdom, said: "This will support economic recovery, revitalise local communities for the benefit of their inhabitants and attract additional much-needed investment."
Housing and communities minister Alex Neil notes the Jessica fund will "leave a lasting legacy" in the country for years to come.
The EIB was established in 1958 by the Treaty of Rome and raises much of its funds on the capital markets, while working alongside policy changes.
