A
commercial property outlet in Greater Manchester has opened today (July 16th) and is the largest centre to be launched this year.
Retailers such as Primark, Marks and Spencer and Debenhams will occupy a number of business properties at the site in Bury.
There will be 60 stores available, as well as a number of eateries and entertainment venues.
Hammerson has developed the centre, which measures 57,600 m2 and had more than 11,000 visitors in its first hour of trading.
Project director at the company Carolyn Kenney said: "With a great range of fashion, lifestyle and leisure brands, The Rock represents a vibrant retail and leisure destination for Bury and beyond."
She said the commercial property development will play a role in the regeneration of the Greater Manchester town.
Hammerson is a FTSE 100 company with 16 retail parks and business properties in France and the UK worth a total of around £5.1 billion.
