When designing the layout of a
commercial property, employers may consider how it could be conducive to positive communication among staff.
This is an important consideration to make for successful
business property owners, according to Martin Lyne, small and medium-sized enterprise marketing director of Everything Everywhere.
"Whether a team works from home or in an office, employers must ensure they create a culture which promotes positive communication," he explains.
It is a "must" for business leaders to make sure the tools and processes are present that will allow for open communication to occur in the workplace, Mr Lyne adds.
His suggestion comes at a time when many Britons may be considering renting a commercial property and launching a new company.
Earlier this year, Hiscox revealed almost one-in-three small businesses were planning to expand this year.
Some 53% of people quizzed thought 2010 was a good time to launch a small business and a fifth thought gaps in the market present a good opportunity to capitalise on company closures.
