A range of
commercial properties will be created in Cornwall, under a plan that has received £6.6 million in European funding.
The Barncoose Gateway project will be carried out in Redruth, at an overall cost of £13.5 million, the BBC reports.
A total of nine business properties are due to be built, with office and industrial space designed to be as eco-friendly as possible.
The European Regional Development Fund's (ERDF's) £6.6 million contribution will be combined with money from Practical Developments (South West) to finance the project.
Neil Lindsey from Camborne, Pool and Redruth Regeneration said: "This high-quality development will see the creation of sustainable long-term local employment."
He added it is assisting with regeneration plans for the area and this will mean there are many changes made in the coming year.
According to Communities and Local Government, the ERDF has assisted with the creation of more than 177,000 new jobs and assisted hundreds of thousands of small and medium-sized businesses.
