A
business property close to Basingstoke has become the new hub for a branch of NFU Mutual.
The offices were opened earlier this week by chief executive of the company Lindsay Sinclair, the Basingstoke Gazette reports.
It became necessary to seek a larger
commercial property after the firm's agency in the town expanded.
The publication explains the new site - measuring 3,293 sq ft - had impressed Mr Sinclair.
"I think this is going to be a good year for us - things are going very well," he was quoted as saying.
The chief executive went on to explain the organisation - formed in April 1909 - had achieved a "big milestone" in the previous year, which has led him to believe the success can continue.
NFU Mutual passed £1 billion in premium income in 2009, compared with losses during the previous year.
Stephanie Bray, who will co-run the new office, said customers tend to prefer dealing with matters on a face-to-face basis, which is what the business property offers them.
