A large retail park housing a number of
commercial properties has sold for the sum of £48 million.
It emerged the Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) purchased the Longwood Road Retail Park from Corbo Properties.
Situated in Newtownabbey in Northern Ireland, the site contains a vast amount of retail space and is said to be one of the country's largest non-food retail parks.
The previous owner of the outlet has made a number of sales during recent months, with Damolly Retail Park in Newry, County Down, purchased by Metric Property Investments in June.
Corbo Properties secured the deal for £34.9 million and went on to sell Donegall Place in Belfast for £8.75 million to CBRE Investors.
In April this year the company revealed its plans for a retail and leisure development in Omagh that will extend the commercial area.
A shopping mall spanning 800,000 ft was included in the proposals, as well as restaurants, a cinema complex and a bowling alley.
