Carillion has outlined its intentions for the third phase of a
commercial property development being built in Sheffield.
The developer said it intends the next stage of The Square in Castlegate to feature either one large building measuring 100,000 sq ft or a series of smaller structures of at least 30,000 sq ft.
Planning permission has already been granted for up to 150,000 sq ft of
business property space and the new developments will join the first two phases of the site - office buildings measuring 42,000 sq ft and 43,000 sq ft and a 114-bed hotel.
"We have revisited our existing planning permission to develop the masterplan with the aim of communicating the flexibility we have at The Square to deliver bespoke buildings, tailored for individual occupier requirements," explained Nick McMillan, development director at Carillion.
In addition to The Square, Carillion has also developed Paddington Basin in London and Sovereign Harbour close to Eastbourne.
