Targetfollow get approval for £122 regeneration scheme at Norwich
A £122million project to regenerate the former Bally shoe factory and surrounding area in Norwich has been given the go-ahead, with Norwich based developers Targetfollow, run by Ardeshir Naghshineh, declaring the scheme will be up and running within two years.
The Harford Place scheme which also incorporates the T Gill and Sons site and a former retail park, will include a hotel, a public square, bingo hall, fitness centre, arts centre, restaurant, cafes, supermarket, doctors' surgery, hundreds of homes to be built in two separate areas, along with a retail park and a 10,000sq ft arts centre owned and run by the developers.
The developers said the community benefits of the arts centre would help cushion the blow of the reduced number of affordable houses within the outline plans. To meet Government targets affordable housing, either rented or part owned, should be 30%, but this development is approved at 25%.
