£210million regeneration of Bolton town centre gets planning approval
A joint venture between Alderley Edge-based Bluemantle and Manchester-based Ask Developments has been granted planning consent for a £210m regeneration of Bolton town centre.
The Church Wharf scheme, designed by Carey Jones architects, will redevelop a 14-acre site in the north east of the town centre.
The mixed-use scheme will include a new office quarter providing 300,000 sq ft of Grade A stock across eight buildings.
Plans also include a new residential area providing town houses, family homes, apartments and starter homes; a leisure sector featuring a multiplex cinema and up to 10 café, bar and restaurant units; a new 160-bed hotel; more than 15,000 sq ft of retail accommodation and a series of new pedestrian routes and public spaces.
